Usually, the volume of documents to be translated is determined by reference to the number of source characters or words.
We use various computer programs to determine the exact volume of a text. Where necessary, character recognition software is used. In the next step, CAT tools help us filter non-translatable characters. As a result, our quote will contain only the actual number of units to be translated.

As a general rule, common language combinations come at a lower price. Extraordinary expertise in a specific area, however, may be reflected in the higher rates.
Volume and format of the source text:
In the past, the longer a text was, the more it cost you to get it translated. This is not true anymore: the latest developments in translation technology may reduce the prices considerably. There are some limitations to the use of these devices, though; editable formats are a prerequisite for best results.
Let us know your latest deadline and we will do our best to set up an emergency team. Remember: every minute counts! Our translators will make a special effort to meet your deadline without compromising quality of the translation. In the meantime, project managers will work hard to implement quality assurance standards.
As a general rule, the more information you share about the translation project, the more tailor-made our quote shall be.
First of all, we need to take a look at your document. This is necessary for the accurate evaluation of the project. We will analyse the text using software designed to determine the exact volume to be translated.
Next, you need to decide what service level you need. To do so, consider the purpose of the translation (e.g. private use, submissions to court, publication, etc.). We will recommend service levels according to the intended use of the translation.
Finally, if there is a deadline you need to observe, let us know. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Assisted translation is virtually a translation done using specialized software (commonly known as CAT tools). They are designed to support the translator and the agency to manage projects more efficiently. Assisted translation and machine translation are not the same!
CAT tools are especially handy for recognizing repetitions in the source text and using uniform terminology. They contribute to smooth project handling when the translation project requires the collaboration of different experts. In addition, by using a CAT tool, both delivery times and costs may be significantly reduced.
A glossary is a list of expressions to ensure consistency in all your translated documents. Each glossary is tailor-made and is a major quality assurance tool for your future translation orders. Thus, while building a glossary requires a joint effort of both client and agency, it is well worth it.
Personalized glossaries are useful if you have a substantial amount of similar documents to be translated. Examples include bank financing documentations, websites, product descriptions, etc.
If you are pressed for time, let us know and we will work around your schedule. To save time, we can start the translation of your first draft while you are working on your reviews. What’s more, up to 5% of the volume of the original text, translation of your revisions comes free.
Lawyer-linguists, by definition, are meticulous and observant. They may notice some inconsistency in the source document while working on the translation. Should that happen, they will take a note of such instance and attach it to the translation.

The translation, of course, will follow the source document closely, ignoring the translator’s notes. Changes will be made only if you decide to revise the original text and expressly instruct us to do the same in the translation.
Despite all our efforts, we might overlook a mistake in a translation. Should you be the one to find an error in the translation, please let us know. We will do everything in our power to make revisions as soon as possible.
Our standard warranty period is 3 working days. With most of our service packages, however, we offer an extended warranty period of 30 calendar days.

The right choice between official translations and certified translations depends on the intended use of the document.
In Hungary, there are two types of legalized documents: official translations and certified translations.
Official translations are provided by professional language service providers like Lexpertis. For details about our certifications check out FAQ 14.
Certified translations, however, can exclusively be issued by the Hungarian Office for Translation and Attestation Ltd (“OFFI”).
As for the use of translations for official purposes in the territory of Hungary, unless otherwise provided by law, the Hungarian Office for Translation and Attestation Ltd. is the only entity authorized to carry out the legalization of the translation or issue certified translations. There is, however, an exemption from this general rule. Hungarian private agencies are also entitled to prepare the certified translations of company documents (including company excerpts, company data subject to registration) into any official language of the European Union.
If the legalization of a translation for official use in the territory of Hungary is not made mandatory by law, it is in the discretion of the relevant authority or entity to decide whether it is sufficient to submit a “simple” translation or an official translation or a certified translation is required.
As for the use of translations for official purposes abroad (outside Hungary), usually both official translations and certified translations are accepted.
In any case, before ordering either type, make sure to check with the competent authority or entity whether it is sufficient to present the official translation of the document in question.
